What Happens When You Cancel Your Legacy Secure Subscription?

Canceling your Legacy Secure subscription is a straightforward process. However, it is important to understand what happens to your data and account access.

1. Subscription Cancellation Process

  1. Access Account Settings:
    • Log in to your Legacy Secure account and navigate to the “Settings” section in the left-hand menu.
  2. Navigate to “Billing & Subscriptions”:
    • Within Settings, select the “Billing & Subscriptions” option to manage your subscription details.
  3. Select “Cancel Subscription”:
    • Click on the “Cancel Subscription” button and follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation.
  4. Confirmation:
    • You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation is processed.

2. Post-Cancellation Access & Retention

  • End of Billing Cycle Access:
    • After canceling, you retain full access to your account until the current billing cycle ends.
    • Once the billing cycle is over, you will no longer be able to log in or view your data.
  • 60-Day Retention Period:
    • Your data is kept for 60 days after your access ends.
    • If you reactivate your subscription within these 60 days, you can continue right where you left off.

  • Past Due (Payment Failure) Scenario:
    • If your account enters a past due status due to missing or invalid payment information, your data remains intact and accessible once any outstanding payments are resolved.
    • No strict time limit applies here; your data will be retained indefinitely until the overdue payment is cleared.

3. Immediate Account Deletion

  • Deleting Your Account:
    • If you choose to delete your account in the settings, all of your data will be permanently removed immediately, bypassing the 60-day retention period.

4. Data Handling After Deletion

  • Irreversible Process:
    • Once your account is deleted, all data associated with it cannot be recovered.
    • Legacy Secure does not retain any copies of your data after account deletion.
